Attackers targeted some of the biggest names in finance by impersonating trusted IT personnel

A wave of voice-phishing attacks targeting some of Wall Street’s largest hedge funds and private equity firms is exposing a weakness that stronger passwords, multifactor authentication and other identity safeguards cannot fully address. Employees can still be tricked into believing they are speaking with someone they trust.
