Job Title: Project Manager Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Position Summary
A SecureLogix Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion. Project managers validate scope requirements against orders, coordinate with customers to gather required implementation information, schedule and assign Network Operations resources, monitor progress of multiple projects with varying degree of rigor, while keeping all stakeholders informed.
The successful candidate must have knowledge of networks and routing, servers (physical and virtual), databases, firewalls, SBCs/PBXs among various other telephony technologies, and be comfortable discussing various levels of detail with appropriate stakeholders. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Candidates must work well as a team member, but also excel in a solo role with an emphasis on customer satisfaction, task prioritization, and time management.
Projects are managed and tracked via standard project management methodologies and tools, Office, Asana, Project, Visio and others as needed.
Requirements
- Proven working experience in project management
- Excellent customer-facing and internal coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking
- Solid knowledge of networking, routers, switches, firewalls, virtual machines, Oracle Database, and SIP technologies (basic familiarity with legacy telephony a bonus)
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
Responsibilities
- Manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders during implementation efforts for SecureLogix products and services
- Follow processes and checklists – Complete all in-house paperwork and notifications. SecureLogix Project Managers are responsible for end-to-end management of system deployments and upgrades
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with customers as well as other staff members. Use all available scheduling tools to include network diagrams, Gantt charts, work breakdown structure, and critical path scheduling with action item logging and tracking
- Manage multiple independent projects simultaneously. Provide regular and accurate feedback to management and sales as to the status of all on-going projects. Indicate any outstanding issues and the estimated completion dates of milestones and final project closure
- Conduct site readiness verification - Coordinate with the customer’s project manager or technical lead to ensure readiness to proceed with installation. This may include various customer team members, their third-party SBC/PBX vendors, or integrators, etc.
- Scheduling - Ensure resources are available and assigned to implement projects while balancing workload across available internal resources
- Execution - Ensure all projects are consistently completed with professional excellence and engineering discipline
- Internal coordination and hand-off – Collaborate with the installation team, equipping them with the data necessary to perform their assigned tasks. Once the deployed product is operational, efficiently hand-off the project to SecureLogix Customer Support and Managed Services teams. Update and distribute as-built drawings and documentation
- Perform risk management – Anticipate potential issues and risks. Collaborate with internal teams and management to preemptively eliminate or minimize negative outcomes
- PMO process refinement – Socialize and document lessons learned into process improvements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Use and continually develop project management skillsets
- Maintain a sufficient level of knowledge of telephony, data networking, and SecureLogix products to perform assigned tasks
- Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
Perform routine daily project management functions including but not limited to:
- Build project folder and develop necessary implementation checklists
- Build and maintain project playbooks to document site readiness requirements and as-built documentation
- Confirm availability of equipment and materials, order as needed
- Coordinate, schedule, lead, and document all conference calls related to assigned projects. Distribute meeting notes when appropriate. Project phases may include pre-deployment, deployment, problem resolution, and close-out
- When required, coordinate site access with customer point of contact(s)
- Publish and distribute documentation to the customer and internal stakeholders
- Update installation folders with all required project documentation
Work location and eligibility
- This is a remote role; you must reside and work within the United States
- Direct hire, full-time W2 only; no contract or temporary arrangements
- This position requires U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status (green card). Visa sponsorship or transfer is not available for this role. You must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship now or in the future
